Kept on the beautiful landscapes of Montepulciano lies the holiday farm VILLA NOTTOLA a historic home, relaxing place that owes its name to the adjacent Cantina.

At the center of the village, the main villa, once a country residence of the Counts Arms, a noble family of Montepulciano. E 'was bought in the late eighties by Mr. Anterivo Giomarelli who through painstaking conservation work has given new luster to the villa and the neighboring houses.

The hospitality at Villa Nottola is managed by its Giomarelli family whose desire is to live to the guests a pleasant holiday to discover the cultural heritage of the area with its gastronomic traditions and convey to them the true value of the work and life in the cellar.

The old 'Vinsantaia', where Vin Santo...

The old 'Vinsantaia', where Vin Santo sweet wine was made, has six very spacious, deluxe rooms. The ceiling features the original wooden beams which are decorated in authentic colours of the Tuscan landscape, each of which are different.

The simple but rustic Tuscan furnishings are nestled in their original setting to imbue the rooms with a casual and comfortable feel.

Each room is equipped with a large bathroom with shower and hair-dryer, and is equipped with air conditioning, heating, satellite TV, safe and fridge.

'L'Olivier', which in times of antiquity...

'L'Olivier', which in times of antiquity served as the farm's olive-mill, together with the old stables have been beautifully renovated to now house 13 suites featuring original large wooden beams and brick vaults. The walls are painted with colours which are perfectly immersed in the Tuscan landscape.

The suites themselves are composed of a bedroom, a bathroom with shower, and a very large living room, which in some cases also accommodates a comfortable sofa bed. All suites are equipped with air conditioning, heating, refrigerator, safe, hair-dryer and satellite TV.

The colours chosen for the walls and upholstery, together with the circumferential landscape, confer to the suites the warmth of hospitality and the tranquillity of a private residence.

Guests who choose to spend time in Borgo Villa Nottola may choose to participate in a number of select activities or choose to simply experience our territory, rich in art, springs and unique landscapes, through some suggested itineraries.

Situated in the centre of an ancient olive grove, the swimming pools for adults and for children are well-equipped to allow enjoyment of the sun and relaxation, and the opportunity to have an aperitif in the company of other guests.

Nottola Farm offers visits to their cellars and the ground floor of the Villa Padronale, featuring a large tasting room with brick vaults and archways suitable for tastings of our very own wines, which can be purchased directly from our store together with personalised gift boxes.

At the centre of the village is the country villa which once served as the country residence of the Bracci Counts. The villa has been restructured with a careful conservative operation that has left the exterior intact, whilst internally has been built into eight apartments with a modern but traditional décor, where antiques blend perfectly with contemporary fittings.

All have fully equipped kitchens, satellite TV, safe, complimentary toiletries, heating, bad linen and towels (weekly cleaning). On request we have available baby cot per € 25,00/day bad linen included

Each of the apartments has been given the name of a native flower.

Restaurant Villa Nottola

In the old house in the past used as cellar and barn, was rebuilded the current restaurant, the original structure has a ceiling with eighteenth century wooden beams.
Inside there is a large hall that can accommodate till sixty people and another smaller one more intimate.
The property includes also a charming garden with a panoramic view of Montepulciano and the Val di Chiana, ideal for beautiful summer evenings and to celebrate special occasions.

Has its origins dating back to Etruscan times, and owes its fortune to being located exactly at the intersection of two roads heading north and south,
which lead to the large towns of Chiusi and Arezzo.
The must-sees include the beautiful Piazza Grande, with its Cathedral and the Common Palace, countless Renaissance palaces and churches that abound.

PIENZA

Originally called "Corsignano Castle", Pienza took its present name in honour of Pope Pius II Piccolomini who, in the second half of the 1400's, started restructuring work on the town. The entire small village is like a jewel. In the village's valley, there is the enchanting landscape of the "Parco Artistico Naturale e Culturale della Val d'Orcia" (Nature and Cultural Park), with ravines, rolling fields and the famous chalk cliffs.

BAGNO VIGNONI

is a charming village of San Quirico and has been known since Roman times for its healing waters that have a natural temperature of over 50 °C. The waters are collected in a large pool in the centre of the village.

The Castello di Vignoni looks down upon the town and can easily be reached from both San Quirico and Bagno Vignoni thanks to a picturesque nature trail.
